I sought help from Meg during two different training plateaus. I was raining for the FBI physical fitness test and I just didn’t have the energy to complete full week of my workout schedule. Meg made a few different suggestions that helped me get over my plateaus and easily reach my goals. Her suggestions were easy to follow and implement. Also, during marathon training I was hitting a huge wall. Meg helped me get the energy I needed to push past that wall. After just one visit with Megan, I was well on my way to better health. After listening to my symptoms, she immediately took me off of gluten and dairy. Turns out I have an allergic reaction to both, which I was unaware of. I am losing around ½ pound a week, and am feeling better all the time. I can not recommend Megan Forbes more highly! Below is an account of my experience working with her: In early November of 2008, my blood chemistry was a mess. My LDL was extremely high; in fact, it was literally off the charts. My triglycerides were over 580, my HDL was low at only 27, and my blood glucose was 126. My doctor recommended that I make an appointment to see a nutritionist, and he specifically recommended Megan Forbes. I made an appointment with Megan just after Thanksgiving. I took the results of my blood tests to the appointment, and Megan developed a program for me based on my blood chemistry and my personal goals. By mid January of 2009, my triglycerides were down to 130, my LDL was getting better, and my glucose was down to 83, all entirely due to following Megan’s diet recommendations. By May of 2009, with a little exercise added to my routine, I had achieved an LDL level of 58, my triglycerides were at 119, and my HDL levels were finally beginning to get better. In September of that year, my blood chemistry was essentially right where my doctor wanted it to be. In the time period from May to September, I had lost over thirty pounds! I owe so much of my success to Megan! She is very professional, and at the same time very pleasant to work with. She knows what she is talking about and she is very good at what she does. She is always patient and non-judgmental , and maybe most importantly, she is always very encouraging. I truly can say that I couldn’t have done this without her. Megan is terrific!
