Megan is a Registered Dietitian who received her degree from Colorado State University in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. Her post grad work was done in Boulder, Colorado through the University of Delaware. She has had a private practice for 7 years displaying a vast diversity of clientele seeking her expertise. She continues her education at various conferences and seminars throughout the country mainly through The Institute of Functional Medicine. She focuses on wellness, gastrointestinal distress, autoimmune diseases, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, athletes, and food allergies.
Megan has several years of personal and professional experience. Starting out in a heart clinic and getting experience at a cancer center as well as in alternative therapies, Megan has also has a passion for sport. Her clients include professional and amateur athletes, people with cancer, heart disease, high cholesterol, allergies, autoimmune disease, weight imbalance, etc. She enjoys the diversity that exists amongst her clients; some are fine tuning, and some are starting fresh.
As a young girl Megan was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, which prompted her desire in nutrition. Her motivation to continue learning about alternatives for optimal health has expanded her knowledge for the body as a whole. She welcomes and enjoys working with all stages of each person's journey.
Megan's nutrition philosophy is one that looks at the total person. Not only on dietary intakes and supplements; but lifestyle, prevention, and the use of natural therapies. She works closely with various caregivers from licensed physical therapists and acupuncturists to MDs and NDs to form a healing team that addresses the needs of the whole person.
